Joy was born in the Midwest and relocated to Orlando during middle school. She grew up as a competitive figure skater,
was homeschooled K-12, and graduated with her associate of arts degree simultaneously when graduating from high school.
Joy was 19 when she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree and went on to law school immediately thereafter.
During and after graduating from law school, Joy worked for a national construction and insurance defense firm, and thereafter
started her own in-house legal department with the largest mold testing and engineering firm in the state of Florida, where she
primarily practiced property and assignment law.
Joy has always had a passion for helping people and decided that she wanted to work for the “little guy” and so made the switch
to representing plaintiff homeowners all over Florida against their insurance companies.
In her free time, Joy spends time with her five nieces and nephews, her two dogs Hamburger and Tiger Lily, and enjoys reading and running.
EDUCATION & COURT ADMISSIONS
Joy graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.
Joy graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the President’s List.
Upon graduation from undergrad, Joy attended Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in Orlando, Florida.
Joy graduated with her Juris Doctor in 2019. She was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship, received Book Awards for the highest grade
achieved in four different classes, and served on the executive board of Barry Law Review.
