Sam currently resides on the Space Coast with her husband, who serves in the Air Force, and their two dogs Whisky and Foxtrot. She was born in Ohio and has lived in North Carolina, Virginia, Montana, Germany, and Destin, Florida. She graduated with her bachelor’s in Communications from the University of Toledo (Go Rockets!) in 2011. While living in Montana, she pursued a master’s in Organizational Management. Later, she graduated from Barry University School of Law with her Juris Doctor. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Laws in Environmental, Natural Resources, and Energy Resources Law from Lewis & Clark Law School
In her career, Sam began working in banking, and after her husband’s relocation to Montana, she devoted her time to working for the Great Falls Police Department. While living in Germany, she started her own successful business as an international swim coach and trainer. Upon graduating law school, she worked as an Assistant State Attorney in Brevard County. She ultimately decided that Serrano, Cagan & Cagan was a place she could call home and is constantly inspired by the team’s dedication to caring for their clients. She loves getting to know her clients and helping them through complex situations.
In her free time, Sam loves traveling with her husband, spending time with her large extended family, exploring nature with her dogs, and discovering new produce and farmers' markets. Sam also loves to play the piano and learn new languages and, while not fluent, has some knowledge of Spanish, German, Italian, Greek, and Japanese.

I would highly recommend that any person who is in need of an attorney to strongly consider this law firm.
Every employee, from the minute I first walked in, treated me as if I was a member of their own family.
Serrano Cagan and Cagan came highly recommended and they did not disappoint! Joy and Frank were professional, thorough and always responsive. I highly recommend them now as well! Thank you Joy for all your diligent work!
